What You'll Do
In this school-based role, youll work hands-on with students of varying ages and needs to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. You'll craft individualized education plans, provide therapy sessions, participate in IEP meetings, and serve as a key communicator between school teams and families. Your impact will directly contribute to students academic progress and communication confidence.
What You'll Need (Texas Requirements)
SLPs working in Texas public schools must hold a valid Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology license, as well as a Texas Educator Certificate with an SLP endorsement from the Texas Education Agency (TEA). A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required. CFs are encouraged to apply and may receive supervision support.
