Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time contract position in the Corpus Christi, TX area. This role involves working in a school-based setting to support students with varying developmental and physical needs.
Key Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) as outlined in students IEPs.

Assist in the implementation of treatment plans to help students improve fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills.

Monitor and document student progress; report findings to the supervising OT and IEP team.

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support student success in academic settings.

Help adapt classroom materials and environments to meet students therapeutic needs.

Maintain accurate records and ensure services comply with district and state guidelines.
Requirements

Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Current Texas licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Valid NBCOT certification.

Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative educational team.
