A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in the Allentown, PA area, serving students aged 3-5 with speech and language impairments. This contract position runs through the current school year (CSY) and provides a unique chance to deliver services within community settings, including various preschools and daycares.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct speech and language therapy to preschool-aged children (3-5 years old) with speech and language impairments.
- Conducting therapy sessions primarily Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a half-hour unpaid lunch.
- Utilizing Fridays for documentation and other paperwork associated with caseload management.
- Collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to develop individualized treatment plans and track progress.
- Delivering services across multiple community locations, ensuring flexibility and adaptability.
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification.
- Active Pennsylvania teaching certification.
- Experience working with young children (ages 3-5) diagnosed with speech and language impairments preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage caseload paperwork efficiently.
This position offers two openings:
- One with an immediate start date through June 2026.
- Another from January through June 2026.
Work schedule supports a condensed four-day direct therapy week, allowing focused delivery of services and time for administrative duties. The roles emphasize community-based therapy service delivery outside of traditional school settings.
