Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an engaging opportunity for Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to support diverse student populations in elementary and middle school settings within the Lee County region in Florida. The role is full-time, on-site, and contracted through the current school year ending June 1, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language support services to a caseload of approximately 50-55 students across assigned schools
- Deliver therapy in alignment with individual education plans (IEPs) under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist
- Collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families to support student communication goals
- Document progress and maintain required clinical records according to district and state guidelines
- Work onsite at assigned campuses including Veterans Park Academy for the Arts PreK-8, Harns Marsh Elementary, Mirror Lakes Elementary, Oak Hammock Middle, and Estero High School with varied weekly scheduling between locations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida Department of Health (DOH) SLPA license is required
- Previous experience working in school settings with elementary and middle school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple school assignments and maintain thorough documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively with educational teams and adapt therapy strategies to meet diverse student needs

- Positions are located in the Lee County School District area, including Fort Myers and surrounding locations in Cape Coral, Florida
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, on-site only
