This full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is based in St. Louis, MO, serving a K-12 school setting through a contract assignment from ASAP through early June. The role involves providing specialized speech and language services to a diverse caseload of students across multiple schools, including middle and elementary schools, as well as a self-contained setting. This assignment offers the opportunity to support 45 students at Bernard Middle Schoolincluding five students utilizing AAC devicesas well as students at other elementary locations on a scheduled basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations and individualized therapy to students.
- Support students with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain detailed, timely documentation and progress reports.
- Participate in professional development and team meetings.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Missouri state license to practice as an SLP.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Experience working in a K-12 school environment preferred.
- Ability to manage a caseload of diverse students including those requiring AAC support.
