A K-12 school located in Monroe, MI is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services throughout the academic school year under a contract position. This role is integral to supporting the mental health and educational development of students across all grade levels, from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments and evaluations to identify students' learning needs, behavioral concerns, and social-emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement intervention strategies.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention to support students' mental health and well-being.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to guide decision-making regarding student services and accommodations.
- Maintain detailed records, comply with legal and ethical standards, and ensure confidentiality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology.
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license as required by the state.
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings is preferred.
- Strong assessment, counseling, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams.
