A K-12 school in Cambridge, MD is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive therapy services for the current school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to support students communication development within a dynamic educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Experience working in school settings, particularly K-12
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders in children
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and educators
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs of students
- Design and deliver individualized therapy sessions tailored to student goals
- Monitor and document student progress, updating IEPs as necessary
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to special education services
