School-Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) North Kansas City, MO
Pay Range: $40$45+ per hour (based on experience)
BlazerJobs is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive school district in North Kansas City, Missouri for the 20252026 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position (37.5 hours per week) open to both local and travel candidates. The district is seeking an SLP to start as soon as possible and continue through May 28, 2026.
About the Role
This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of student populations and settings while providing vital therapy and evaluation services across multiple schools. The SLP will rotate through several campuses to cover for SLPs on FMLA leave, gaining experience with different caseloads and age groups. The district offers an extensive orientation process and continuous professional support throughout the school year.

Caseload Overview:

High School: 2535 students

Early Childhood: ~25 students

Elementary: 2535 students
Caseloads include students with typical speech and language needs, case-managed students, and those enrolled in specialized Autism programs. AAC experience is helpful but not required.
Qualifications and Requirements

Active Missouri Speech-Language Pathology License

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred; CFY candidates considered

Must meet all state and federal guidelines for school-based therapy services

Ability to work onsite and travel between schools within the district as needed
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments

Deliver direct and consultative therapy to students across age levels

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams

Maintain accurate documentation and progress tracking

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student-centered planning
