Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals

Provide direct therapy services and monitor progress toward established objectives

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support communication development

Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings

Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal education requirements
Federal and State Requirements

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Current Arkansas SLP license or eligibility for licensure required

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Arkansas school districts
