Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Moriarty, NM. This contract position spans the current school year and offers a chance to make a significant impact in a supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- For COTA: Provide occupational therapy services primarily on the east side of the district, collaborating closely with the district OT across elementary, middle, and high school levels.
- For OT: Serve as an itinerant therapist, delivering therapy services across multiple schools as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support student success.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with school policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid COTA or OT certification/licensure.
- Must have all required documentation and approvals (including PED credentials) finalized and in hand before consideration.
- Experience working within a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage caseload effectively across multiple school environments.
