Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-12 students in a dynamic school setting located in Tijeras, NM. The role offers a contract position for the current school year, focused on providing essential services across elementary, middle, and high school levels.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students based on individual education plans (IEPs).
- For COTA: Work collaboratively on the east side of the district alongside the district OT, servicing elementary, middle, and high school students.
- For OT: Serve as an itinerant therapist across various schools within the district.
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed OT or COTA with a valid and active certification or license.
- Possession of an official pediatric certification or documentation is required prior to interviewing or hiringno exceptions.
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
