Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a School Social Worker to provide essential support within a K-12 educational setting in Holland, MI. The position is a 12-week contract beginning December 10, 2025, with potential for full-time employment. The role is onsite and involves working closely with approximately 40 students at an elementary school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and write detailed reports.
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings alongside parents and school teams.
- Monitor and report student progress toward established goals and objectives during each reporting period.
- Develop and implement data collection systems for functional assessments and positive behavior intervention support (PBIS).
- Analyze and graph data to track student behavior and academic progress.
- Provide professional development and actively participate in school-wide PBIS processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree from a graduate social work program approved by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE), including at least 500 hours of supervised practicum experience.
- Temporary approval, continuing temporary approval, or full approval from the MDE Office of Special Education.
- Experience working in a school setting with K-12 students is preferred.
- Strong skills in diagnostic evaluations, report writing, and behavior support strategies.
