Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A qualified Occupational Therapist is needed to provide specialized services within a K-12 school setting located in Helotes, TX. This contract position spans the current school year, offering a unique opportunity to work with a diverse student population across multiple elementary, middle, and high schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to approximately 41 students at assigned schools including Medio Creek, Scobee, McNair, and the high school.
- Provide consultative treatment sessions and complete thorough documentation.
- Participate in Annual ARDs, REEDs, and FIEs as well as conduct re-evaluations and 3 is 3 evaluations.
- Supervise and support OT services in multiple elementary schools (Big Country, Kriewald, Elm Creek, Indian Creek, and Southwest Elementary) including evaluation processes and student follow-ups.
- Manage a combined caseload of up to 99 students across 8 schools, adapting to fluctuating evaluation needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license.
- Experience working within school settings with K-12 populations.
- Ability to manage a large caseload efficiently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills for documentation and attendance at required meetings.
