A skilled Occupational Therapist is needed to provide comprehensive services in a K-12 school setting located in Converse, TX. This contract position runs through the current school year, ending May 21, 2026, and offers a 40-hour workweek supporting a diverse caseload across multiple elementary and secondary schools.
Responsibilities include direct treatment sessions and consultative services at assigned schools, documentation, and participation in critical meetings such as Annual ARDs, REEDs, and Full Individual Evaluations (FIEs). The role also involves completing re-evaluations and 3 is 3 evaluations to support student progress and compliance. In addition to direct services, this position requires supervisory duties for multiple elementary schools, including attending meetings, conducting evaluations, and ongoing student check-ins. The total caseload includes 99 students, excluding 3 is 3 evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students at designated schools.
- Complete thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Attend and contribute to ARDs, REEDs, and FIEs.
- Conduct re-evaluations and 3 is 3 evaluations.
- Supervise occupational therapy services at multiple elementary schools, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Coordinate with educators, families, and administration to optimize student outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license.
- Experience with school-based occupational therapy services for K-12 students.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a caseload across multiple locations.
- Familiarity with ARD process, REEDs, FIEs, and educational evaluation protocols.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
