A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a K-12 school in Minden, LA, serving from December 1 to May 22. This contract role offers the opportunity to support students' communication development within a dynamic school environment onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments, evaluations, and therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' specific communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Comply with state regulations and school policies related to speech-language pathology services.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience or certification specifically in school-based speech-language pathology.
- Licensing or eligibility to obtain a Speech-Language Pathology license in Louisiana is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for working with children and adolescents.
- Ability to manage a full caseload and work effectively in a fast-paced school setting.
Location: Onsite position at Saline High School serving students in the Minden, LA area.
