A school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available providing essential services to preschool and daycare settings in the community. This contract position supports children ages 3-5 with speech and language impairments across various early learning environments. - Reading, Pennsylvania (Berks County area)
- Services delivered in community preschools and daycare centers
Position Details:
- Two SLP openings to support early childhood education
- Full school year contract with one position starting ASAP through June 2026 and another from January to June 2026
- Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch); Fridays dedicated to paperwork and administrative responsibilities
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification for SLP services
- Experience working with preschool-aged children (3-5 years) identified with speech and language impairments
- Ability to provide direct speech-language therapy in educational settings outside of a traditional school environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy to preschool children
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete required paperwork on designated days
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the unique needs of students within community-based programs
