Support speech and language development for K5 students in a dynamic school setting located in the Daphne, AL area. This contract position offers the opportunity to work full-time within multiple schools serving diverse elementary and middle school populations, providing specialized assistance to children with communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology assistance to students in grades K-5, following individualized education plans (IEPs) and treatment protocols.
- Collaborate with certified speech-language pathologists and educational staff to implement therapeutic activities and monitor progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide itinerant services across assigned schools including elementary and middle school settings.
Qualifications:
- Registration with the Alabama Board of Speech Pathologists and Audiologists as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is required.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably within a K-12 educational environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on-site at assigned schools, including itinerant service delivery across multiple locations.
Location and Schedule:
- Located in Daphne, AL, serving multiple schools in the Mobile County area.
- Full-time position with approximately 35 hours per week.
- Contract duration: Immediate start through May 22, 2026.
