Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide maternity leave coverage in K-12 school settings within multiple Illinois school districts. This contract position serves students in structured learning environments (SLE) designed for children with autism and intellectual disabilities.
Location: Various school sites including Clarendon Hills, Willowbrook, Downers Grove, and Westmont, IL
Duration: Approximately late January 2026 through early June 2026 (exact start/end dates vary by assignment)
Hours: Full-time, typically 35 to 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to students across 3-4 self-contained classrooms per assignment
- Support students with autism and intellectual disabilities within the Structured Learning Environment program
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Monitor progress and maintain detailed documentation of student performance and therapies
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Endorsement
- Active Illinois Speech License
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Willingness to serve students with complex communication needs
- Candidates at various professional levels considered, including SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLPs, and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
