A K-12 school district in Howell, MI is seeking qualified Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the 2025-2026 school year contract from November 8, 2025, to June 12, 2026. These positions primarily involve working with Pre-K caseloads. Both onsite and teletherapy SLPs will be considered, though onsite candidates are preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy services to Pre-K students in a school setting
- Collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to support student communication goals
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student progress and compliance
- Understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by urban children and recommending appropriate resources for students and families
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Michigan license as an SLP or a temporary license for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
- Preference for candidates with an established clinical supervisor for CFY status
- Ability to manage a primarily Pre-K caseload
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology best practices in educational settings
- Familiarity with resources and challenges relevant to urban student populations
- University transcripts required for consideration
This contract position offers 35 hours per week and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on early childhood communication development. Locations of interest also include Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit for outreach and recruitment purposes.
