Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Physical Therapist position is available serving multiple K-12 schools in the Panhandle area of Florida. This itinerant role provides therapy support to approximately 40 students, primarily at the elementary level, across various school sites within the district. The position is contract-based for the current school year with a start date as soon as possible and runs through early June.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy evaluations, treatment, and progress monitoring for K-12 students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports.
- Travel between multiple district schools to deliver therapy services on-site.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Valid Physical Therapist license issued by the Florida Department of Health.
- Experience working within a school setting preferred.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 40 students with varied needs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

- Defuniak Springs and surrounding areas within the Okaloosa County school district, Florida.
