A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Lumberton, NC. This role involves working collaboratively with educators and other professionals to help students develop essential motor and sensory skills for academic and personal success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students progress and adapt classroom environments
- Monitor and document student progress and communicate updates with relevant stakeholders
- Provide guidance on the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology when appropriate
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success plans
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license with experience in school-based settings, preferably K-12
- Strong understanding of child development, sensory processing, and related educational regulations
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, families, and educators
- Ability to manage caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
