This contract role spans the current school year and focuses on providing essential social work services within the educational environment. The position involves working closely with students, families, and staff to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, promoting student success and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and support services to high school students facing social, emotional, or behavioral issues
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans and connect students to community resources
- Conduct assessments and develop case plans tailored to individual student needs
- Advocate for student needs and facilitate access to external support services
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and regulations
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working as a Social Worker in a school setting, preferably with high school students
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and social-emotional challenges
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups including students, families, and school personnel
- Excellent communication, assessment, and crisis intervention skills
- Relevant licensure or certification as required by the state
