Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Social Worker position is available for the upcoming full semester, supporting K-12 students. This role requires providing social work services within the school environment to address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
Location: Lansing, MI
Duration: Full semester contract (ASAP start through June 5, 2026)
Hours: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for students exhibiting social or emotional challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services
- Maintain accurate records and comply with district policies and state regulations
- Facilitate referrals to community resources when necessary
Qualifications:
- Fully licensed LMSW through LARA
- Full Approval or Professional Certification as a School Social Worker through MDE
- No Limited License SW candidates will be considered
- Must be available to work onsite
- Experience working with K-12 student populations preferred
