A full-time Social Worker position is available to support K-12 students within a school setting in Jackson, MI. This contract role spans a full semester, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through June 5, 2026. The candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive social work services directly onsite, addressing the diverse needs of students across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and support to students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and community resources to develop intervention plans.
- Conduct assessments and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with confidentiality standards.
- Support students academic and personal development by identifying barriers and offering appropriate resources.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current LMSW license through LARA.
- Full Approval or Professional Certification as a School Social Worker through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) is required.
