This opportunity is for a full-time Occupational Therapist serving a K-12 school setting in the Naperville, IL area. The position is a contract role for the current school year with an anticipated start date in early March, possibly sooner. This role is ideal for an OT skilled in school-based therapy, ready to provide valuable support to students within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide occupational therapy services to students to help them succeed academically and functionally.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals with educational objectives.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy approaches accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school policies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings.
- Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy techniques and interventions.
- Ability to work effectively with children from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and educational teams.
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environment and compliance requirements.
