A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at an elementary school located in Onyx, CA. This role is a full school year assignment, providing essential speech and language services to support elementary-aged students.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification, preferably with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Experience working in school settings as an SLP
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and provide individualized therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Familiarity with educational standards and the unique needs of elementary school children
- Strong collaboration skills to work with educators, parents, and other specialists
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations and assessments for students
- Designing and implementing speech and language therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
- Maintaining detailed records and progress reports
- Collaborating with teachers and parents to support student communication development
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and complying with school policies
