Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A position is available for a licensed school psychologist to support K-12 students in a Virginia Beach area public school district. This role involves working directly on-site in an elementary school setting, providing psychological assessments, and collaborating closely with educators and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and testing for elementary-aged students
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, re-evaluation sessions, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) team meetings
- Support compliance with state and district educational guidelines
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administration to develop strategies that promote student success
- Manage caseload effectively while maintaining detailed documentation and reports
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid State Licensure as a School Psychologist
- Active Department of Education (DOE) Certification
- Experience or willingness to work with K-12 students, especially in elementary grades
- Ability to engage collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Open to new graduates ready to gain hands-on experience in a school setting
Work Details:
- On-site position; hybrid and remote arrangements are not available
- School hours are generally from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Contract duration from immediate start through June 16, 2026
- Caseload will vary by assignment and is currently being reviewed
