Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An on-site, school-based Occupational Therapist (OT) opportunity is available to support an elementary school and early years programs in Newark, DE. This contract position requires an active Delaware OT license and previous school-based experience working with students in early childhood and elementary school settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in early years and elementary classrooms.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments and maintain documentation aligned with school policies.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate progress with families and school personnel.
- Ensure compliance with school district regulations and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Active Delaware Occupational Therapy license (required; please include licensure verification with application).
- Demonstrated experience working as a school-based OT, preferably with early years and elementary populations.
- Ability to manage a full-time schedule aligning with the school day (8:45 AM 4:15 PM).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school teams.
- Reliable transportation and commitment to on-site work setting.

- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Immediate start with availability through June 12, 2026
- Two openings available:
- One full-time position in the Early Years Program
- One split schedule position with 3 days in Early Years and 2 days at the elementary school
Candidates will be interviewed via Microsoft Teams (15-30 minutes). Fingerprinting and background check must be completed within the first 3 days of contract commencement.
