An engaging opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with school-based experience to provide essential therapy services in an elementary school setting in Middletown, DE. This full-time contract position supports students in Early Years and elementary programs, delivering hands-on intervention to enhance their functional abilities and educational participation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in Early Years and elementary classrooms.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing team meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring.
- Maintain compliance with Delaware OT licensure and school district policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Delaware Occupational Therapist license is required (must provide licensure verification upon application).
- Proven experience in school-based occupational therapy, preferably with Early Years and elementary age groups.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to commit to an on-site, full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week, 8:45 AM 4:15 PM).
- Reliable transportation and willingness to commute to the Middletown, DE location.
