A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide expert support to students across various educational settings. This role involves traveling to multiple schools within the Schenectady, NY area, delivering individualized therapy to help students achieve their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students of diverse backgrounds
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans targeting speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to monitor progress and adjust therapy approaches accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress in compliance with educational standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLP in New York
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and school personnel
- Ability and willingness to travel to multiple school sites
