Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving school-aged children. This role involves providing specialized speech and language therapy services within a school setting, helping students improve their communication skills to support academic success and social interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting speech, language, and communication goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student outcomes
- Provide consultative support to educational staff regarding speech and language development
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Travel between school locations as required to deliver services
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of speech and language developmental milestones and disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently
- Willingness to travel to multiple school sites within the region
Location:South Portland, Maine, with the requirement to travel to various schools within the district or surrounding areas.
