Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Licensed Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support within a school setting. The position requires travel and is based in Clarksburg, WV. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in pediatric occupational therapy and experience working with school-aged children to enhance their functional abilities and learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to students based on assessments and educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement effective intervention plans
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatments as needed
- Facilitate skill development in fine motor, sensory integration, and self-care activities pertinent to school participation
- Travel to various school locations as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy license or certification valid for the state of West Virginia
- Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings preferred
- Ability to create and implement school-based therapy interventions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within assigned region
