Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to work within a school setting located in Huntington, IN. The role involves providing therapeutic services to students to support their educational and developmental needs. Some travel is required to serve multiple school locations or districts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services to support students fine motor, sensory, and functional abilities
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school professionals to integrate therapy goals into the educational program
- Document progress and maintain accurate therapy records in accordance with school policies
- Participate in meetings and consultations regarding student progress and accommodations
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with a valid license to practice in Indiana
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or educational settings preferred
- Ability to travel between school sites as needed
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with school staff and families
