Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support students in a school setting located in Missoula, MT. This role involves providing specialized therapy services to help children develop and improve their functional abilities, enabling them to succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students functional abilities, motor skills, and sensory processing to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services focused on fine motor skills, sensory integration, and daily living activities within the school environment.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create supportive accommodations and interventions.
- Document student progress and update therapy goals as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to share insights and strategies.
- Travel may be required within the region to serve multiple school locations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with current state licensure.
- Experience delivering pediatric occupational therapy services in a school setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of educational and therapy regulations and best practices.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to travel and work across multiple sites.
