A healthcare professional with Occupational Therapy (OT) expertise is needed to provide specialized support within a school setting. This role involves working directly with students to enhance their physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities, promoting their educational success and overall well-being.
Location: Marana, AZ
Work Setting: School environment
Travel: Required to various school sites as necessary
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student needs and develop individualized therapy plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve motor skills, coordination, and daily living activities
- Collaborate with educators, speech therapists, and other professionals to support comprehensive student development
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Provide training and resources to staff and families to reinforce therapy goals outside of sessions
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license and relevant certifications
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational or similar settings
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school personnel
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches based on individual student needs
- Flexibility and willingness to travel between schools within the assigned area
