A school district in Traverse City, MI is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to support student success and mental health in a dynamic educational environment. This role involves providing comprehensive psychological services to students across multiple school settings, with some travel required between schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify student learning needs, behavioral challenges, and emotional concerns.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies in collaboration with teachers, parents, and administrators.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student academic and social-emotional development.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Monitor student progress and adjust support plans accordingly.
- Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of all assessments, interventions, and meetings.
- Travel between school sites to deliver services across the district.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in the state of Michigan.
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and writing comprehensive reports.
- Strong knowledge of learning disabilities, behavioral interventions, and mental health issues in children.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and students.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel between district schools.
