A school district in Taylorville, IL is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to support student mental health and academic success. This role requires the ability to assess, diagnose, and develop interventions for students with a variety of learning and behavioral needs. Travel between district schools may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students learning abilities and challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions
- Provide counseling and support services to students with emotional or behavioral difficulties
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure effective student support
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Valid Illinois School Psychologist certification
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain confidentiality
- Flexibility to travel among different school sites within the district
