A contract position is available for a bilingual Social Worker to support student well-being and family engagement in a school setting located in Lansing, MI. This role requires fluency in both English and another language to effectively communicate with diverse student populations and their families, providing critical social services and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized support plans.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students.
- Connect students and families with community resources and support programs.
- Document and maintain case files and reports in compliance with school policies.
- Advocate for students academic and social success within the school environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work or related field.
- Relevant social work licensure or certification as required.
- Bilingual proficiency, with strong communication skills in English and a second language.
- Experience working in school or educational environments preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and cultural competency skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation: Pay range is $38.82 to $46.35 per hour, depending on experience.
