A school is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Social Worker to provide essential support services within an educational setting located in Hudsonville, MI. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support students' mental health and social development
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to develop intervention plans and resources
- Assess students social, emotional, and behavioral needs and create appropriate action plans
- Facilitate communication between families and school to ensure comprehensive support services
- Connect students and families to community resources and external support agencies as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies and confidentiality regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Licensed or certified to practice social work in the state of Michigan, or eligibility for licensure
- Fluency in English and Spanish (bilingual proficiency required)
- Previous experience working in school settings or with children/adolescents strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
