A school district in Detroit, MI, is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist on a contract basis to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This role involves working closely with educators, parents, and staff to assess and address student needs within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results to inform instructional strategies and interventions. Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions. Provide counseling and support services to students facing academic or emotional challenges. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and recommend appropriate services. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Preferred Qualifications: Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist. Experience working in K-12 educational settings. Strong skills in psychological assessment, data analysis, and intervention planning. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
