A bilingual (Spanish) Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized support for school-aged children (K-5) at an onsite, itinerant school setting in Dallas, TX. This contract position offers the flexibility of part- to full-time hours (20-30 hours per week), combining direct evaluations with opportunities for remote report writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for pediatric students in kindergarten through fifth grade
- Develop individualized treatment plans addressing each childs specific communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including evaluations and progress reports, with a portion of report writing completed remotely
- Deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate services to bilingual students, ensuring effective communication and engagement
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Fluency in Spanish to effectively serve bilingual student populations
- Experience working with pediatric clients in school-based settings, particularly within K-5
- Strong knowledge of speech and language developmental milestones, disorders, and intervention techniques
- Ability to manage part- to full-time hours with a flexible, itinerant service delivery model
