Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A School Psychologist position is available to support elementary students in grades K-5. This role primarily involves conducting psychological testing and participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to ensure students receive appropriate educational support. While the position is based in Chattanooga, TN, virtual candidates will be considered, though preference will be given to onsite providers to facilitate direct collaboration with school staff and students.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret psychological assessments for elementary students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and service providers during IEP meetings
- Develop and recommend intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs
- Monitor student progress and provide ongoing support and consultation
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in compliance with educational regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with elementary-aged children (grades K-5)
- Strong knowledge of psychological testing and special education law
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to provide services either onsite or remotely, with onsite preferred
