A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support student development within a school setting in Moreno Valley, CA. This role involves providing therapeutic interventions tailored to meet the diverse needs of students to enhance their academic and functional performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities to determine OT needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessments.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Utilize therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment to improve students motor skills and independence.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication regarding student progress and interventions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and school policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure.
- Prior experience working within a school environment preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop treatment plans and adapt interventions for diverse student populations.
- Knowledge of federal and state education regulations related to occupational therapy.
