Position Title: School-Based Psychologist Contract Position - Phoenix, AZ
Job Description: Join our team of dedicated professionals in providing essential psychological services to schools in the Phoenix, AZ area. As a School-Based Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of students, ensuring they have the necessary resources for a successful future. Collaborating closely with educators, administrators, and families, you will assess students' needs, develop intervention plans, and provide counseling services to promote their overall growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
- Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for appropriate interventions and accommodations.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and support services to students individually or in groups to address emotional and behavioral concerns.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
- Serve as a resource to school staff on issues related to child development, mental health, and behavioral management.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress reports.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Arizona.
- At least one year of recent experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of psychological assessment techniques and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
