Soliant, in collaboration with our esteemed partners in the Houston, TX area, is seeking a dedicated and qualified School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in providing essential services to students, aiding in their communication and language development, and ultimately contributing to their academic success and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs.
- Providing direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' progress.
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to the development of students' educational plans.
- Staying updated on best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Texas.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Minimum of one year of recent experience working as an SLP in a school-based setting.
- Knowledge of various assessment and intervention techniques for speech and language disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
