Blazerjobs is currently seeking four dedicated School Psychologists to join a reputable school district in Waukegan, IL for the 2024-2025 school year. These positions offer the opportunity to work in both elementary and high school settings, providing essential psychological services to support student success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students referred for special education services.
- Lead IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support meetings at the elementary level, providing input and support for students' academic and behavioral needs.
- Optional counseling services may be provided based on student needs and caseload availability.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessment results, progress notes, and intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to support the social-emotional and academic development of students.
Qualifications:
- Master's or specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Illinois state certification or eligibility for certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and writing comprehensive evaluation reports.
- Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Details:
- Full-time positions with onsite hours.
- High school psychologists work from 7:30am to 3:00pm.
- Elementary psychologists work from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
- High school psychologists focus mainly on evaluations and leading IEP meetings.
- Elementary psychologists focus on evaluations, leading meetings, and participating in MTSS meetings.
- Optional counseling services may be provided based on caseload availability.
- Caseloads vary but typically include approximately 40 evaluations per year.
