Requirements:
- Valid license as a Speech Language Pathologist in Illinois, in accordance with local and state regulations.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Minimum of [X] years of experience working as an SLP in educational settings or related environments.
- Proficiency in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders across all age groups.
- Knowledge of evidence-based intervention strategies and techniques for speech, language, and social communication disorders.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other members of the school community.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
- Developing individualized treatment plans and goals for students with communication disorders.
- Providing direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to implement communication goals within the classroom setting.
- Monitoring students' progress and adjusting intervention strategies as needed.
- Providing consultation and training to parents and caregivers on supporting students' communication development at home.
- Participating in IEP meetings and providing input on students' educational needs.
