Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for a temporary contract position at a high school in Illinois. This role is designed to cover a period of FMLA leave from August 19, 2024, to September 20, 2024. The SLP will be responsible for managing a caseload of 53 students, providing comprehensive speech and language services, and collaborating with educators and parents to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders.
- Deliver therapy sessions tailored to meet the specific needs of each student.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication and learning.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and school policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois.
- Appropriate state clearances for working in a school setting.
- Experience working with high school students is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a full caseload effectively.
