Caseload & Details: Join a Collaborative Team!
This district prides itself on fostering a supportive environment where collaboration and student success are paramount. You will be joining a team committed to excellence. Specific openings include:
- 6 Elementary School SLP-CCC or CF Needs: All elementary schools benefit from a second person to support the campus. Depending on the workload, campuses may have two CCCs or an SLPA 2-3 days per week to assist the CCC-SLP.
- 1 Intermediate School CCC-SLP: Serving 5th and 6th-grade students.
- 2 Middle School CCC-SLP: Primarily focused on re-evaluations with typically fewer initial evaluations. Caseload numbers generally range from 60s to low 70s, with students usually receiving therapy every 9 weeks.
- 1 High School CCC-SLP: Most students receive 3-5 therapy sessions per 9 weeks, with a primary focus on re-evaluations for speech-only needs.
Your Vital Role as a School Speech-Language Pathologist:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse communication disorders.
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, administrators, and other school personnel.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services.
- Actively participate in ARD/IEP meetings.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding special education and speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas School Speech-Language Pathologist license is required, or willingness to obtain.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or eligibility to complete Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP) year.
