Position Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state licensing requirements, including:

Active California SLPA license issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board

Completion of an accredited SLPA associates degree program or a bachelors degree in communication sciences and disorders with SLPA certification
-
Completion of a minimum of 100 hours of fieldwork/clinical experience
-
Must pass any required background checks and fingerprinting as mandated by the school district

Up-to-date TB test and immunization records
Typical Responsibilities Include:
-
Assisting licensed SLPs in delivering therapy services to students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
-
Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) under the supervision of a certified SLP
-
Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
-
Supporting classroom teachers and special education staff with communication strategies
-
Preparing therapy materials and maintaining equipment
-
Participating in team meetings and contributing to student evaluations
